French Art Class Adventure at Moulin Madame
With World Famous Artist, Larry Elmore
Friday, June 20 – Sunday, June 29, 2008

Come and study with the Master himself, Larry Elmore!
Read on to hear about the fun!

Be sure to look below at some of the beautiful
pictures from our trip in 2007!!

Just Imagine...

Imagine waking up in a 500-year-old castle that has been renovated into a B&B surrounded by enchanting woodlands and medieval lands that still has all the charm and romance of the time when it was the home of the "Lady of the Mill" who was a mistress of King Henry 4th (according to legend.)

Join Larry Elmore and friends on a 7-day adventure of art classes, wine-tasting, French food, medieval villages, and French cafes in the beautiful Burgundy wine region and countryside of France with an additional day and evening of sightseeing, fun and relaxation in Paris. This year, we’re also planning an excursion to Versailles, one of the most beautiful monuments in France, located just 25 miles southwest of Paris. We’ll tour the Castle of Versailles, which was never actually finished due to the many successive wars and the Revolution. However, it remains, one of the finest jewels of the French Crown and one of the most stunning designs of its creator, the Sun King, Louis the Fourteenth.

As the Instructor of this Art Class tour, Larry Elmore, who has been creating fantasy and science fiction art for over 20 years, will provide art direction to students in actual medieval settings of castles and sun-brushed fields to create fantasy and imaginative art. You'll enjoy art classes, architecture and fine wines in the sparkling light of South Burgundy, France. All the splendors of Southern Burgundy's vineyards, gastronomy, petite villages and captivating landscapes invite you to slip away for a week's adventure.
If time permits, we also plan to go to Monet’s Garden in Giverny which is located 80 km West from Paris, France in the village of Giverny, 4 km from the town of Vernon. The Claude Monet House and Gardens are now open to visitors.

Because we’re going in June this year, we’ll be able to experience the Festival des Grands Crus de Bourgogne. This is Burgundy’s premier music festival which successfully combines both music and wine to fully awaken your senses. Truly outstanding jazz, baroque and popular music concerts are held in some of Burgundy’s finest sites. This year, the festival will take place in Chablis, Noyers-sur-Serein, Bevrey-Chambertin, Meursault and Cluny. The pleasure of hearing leading musicians play is coupled with an in-depth oenological program, as wines are served either in the middle or at the end of the concert.

Each day there will be free time to enjoy the sights and sounds of France and an opportunity to pursue your own creative expression in pencil, pen & ink sketching, watercolor, acrylic or photography. Materials can be arranged or you can supply your own. Inspiring locale jaunts will include castles, rustic villages, turn-of-the-century cathedrals, art museums, wineries, charming French cafes and "plein-air" meadows where Larry will help you capture the colors and sunlight of Burgundy.

This tour is sure to excite all levels of art and music enthusiasts, from emerging hobby artists to more experienced artists as well as those who simply love art! Many delights of experiencing the French culture and its history will make this visit a memorable one.
